"Sendim", by Carlyn Clark of "The 1 Motif 100 Ways" series for day 20 of "The 100 Day Project"
The Northeast village of Sendim, Portugal was the inspiration for today's pattern, specifically, the abandoned railway station in town. There seem to be a lot of abandoned railway stations in Portugal, most with beautiful tile work. I was intrigued with the unusually-shaped roof feature above the Azulejo mural and tweaked my original motif in response to that shape. It looks a bit like dancing bones?
