"Gavião", by Carlyn Clark of "The 1 Motif 100 Ways" series for day 47 of "The 100 Day Project"
I was heading toward a lacy pattern inspired by a cross in Gavião, Portugal which changed dramatically when I recolored it using my favorite indigo and turquoise colors. It went from looking earthy and warm to looking like patchworked blue jeans. or an early American stitched quilt.
