"Tábua", by Carlyn Clark of "The 1 Motif 100 Ways" series for day 71 of "The 100 Day Project"

Yesterday's repeating surface pattern design was built around circles, so today I'm doing squares. It ended up being a checkerboard turned on an angle and then put into a half-drop repeat to give it a little energy and movement. Inspiration comes from the tile floor patterns found in old Portuguese buildings.
