"Monsanto", by Carlyn Clark of "The 1 Motif 100 Ways" series for day 80 of "The 100 Day Project"

1n 1938, Monsanto was named "the most Portuguese town in Portugal". It's a town so filled with boulders that they built the houses under and around them. 

I was thinking about tumbling stones, starry nights and deep blue skies when I was working on this repeating surface design pattern in Adobe Illustrator.
